International Popular Culture Association Conference

“Popular Culture At and Across Borders:  The Hemispheric and Global Flows of Popular Culture”

Conference Hotel Room Rate: $155.00 + tax for single/double occupancy (includes all gratuities and and full breakfast). This special conference rate will be available for three nights before and three nights after July 25 and 26 upon availability. Conference Registration: $300 (includes welcome reception, lunches on July 25th and 26th, snacks and drinks for session breaks, and concluding conference dinner).

Please check that the information you entered is saved on the form before emailing. If this fails, you may try saving the file as a JPEG (click Save As-->select JPEG from the drop-down list), which would keep the information from being lost.

Conference Theme: “Popular Culture At and Across Borders:  The Hemispheric and Global Flows of Popular Culture.” This theme can be interpreted widely and liberally. Proposals on all areas and types of popular culture are invited, especially topics on Costa Rica and Central America. Send proposals or inquiries to Doug Noverr (noverr@msu.edu), the conference organizer and coordinator. Proposals for panels are also welcomed.

Deadline for Proposals: April 25, 2011. Proposals will be evaluated and accepted soon after their submission.
