Armed Conflict

This area is a combining of what was previously the areas of World War I & II and War after 1945: Literature, History, Culture, & the Arts

Call for Papers

For Conference details click http://www.pcaaca.org/conference/national.php

Deadline for proposal submissions is December 15.

Papers having to do with any aspect of military or civilian experiences during any armed conflict is welcomed. Although this area was originally for World Wars I and II, now other armed conflicts in which the U.S. has been involved are welcomed. International topics are welcomed as well.

Papers discussing the role of memory in recalling and describing wartime experiences are especially welcomed.  Papers can address non-fiction (memoirs), fiction, poetry, or film.  A closely related topic is narrative structure in (re-)telling war stories: how are war stories told?

Papers addressing any aspect of the impact of World War I and World War II on participants or non-participants will be welcomed as well.
