Gender and Media Studies

Call for Papers

Deadline for proposal submissions is December 15.

The Gender and Media Studies Area Chair of the Popular Culture Association seeks paper proposals for the 2010 National Conference of the Popular Culture Association and the American Culture Association .

Submissions related to any issue of gender and the media are welcomed and encouraged by the Area Chair. Topics can include but are not limited to issues of gender in television, film, music, music videos, and advertising. Individual presentations should be no more than 15 minutes in length. Abstracts of no more than 250 words should be submitted to the Area Chair. Submissions should include name, institutional affiliation, mail and email addresses and contact telephone number.
