American Art & Architecture

Call for Papers

The Art and Architecture Area of the American Culture Association is seeking papers on any aspect of the arts of the Americas for the annual conference in New Orleans, 8-11 April 2009.  Papers on topics related to the theme of early modernism in the Americas, within the broader categories of Latino, Native, African American and Canadian art and architecture will be considered.  We are especially interested in papers offering a cross-disciplinary perspective.  Open sessions for papers on American arts of a less specific theme are also planned. For further information on the conference check the web site at http://www.pcaaca.org.

Proposals should be submitted by e-mail to Robert Sheardy, at  RobertSheardy@ferris.edu. Mention ACA in the Subject Line and paste a 250-word proposal in the cover letter which should also include a one paragraph c.v. and a note on AV needs. Also include up-to-date contact information.  Any attachments must be in Microsoft Word, uncompressed.

Proposals must be received at the above e-mail address by November 30, 2008
